Vanilla Bean Homemade Funfetti Cake

August 25, 2015 by Aida 19 Comments

This soft, moist, buttery Vanilla Bean Homemade Funfetti Cake is filled with rainbow sprinkles and smothered with the fluffiest vanilla frosting. With rainbow sprinkles on the outside and inside of this Vanilla Bean Homemade Funfetti Cake, it’s perfect for any celebration.

Sprinkles are one of those things in life that just make everyone happy. Maybe it’s the bright, rainbow colors. Maybe it’s that they’re little crunchy, sticks of sugar. Or maybe it’s because sprinkles adorn crowd-pleasing treats like ice cream, cake, and cupcakes. Whatever the reason is, sprinkles = happiness in my house.

So, when I was making a small cake to celebrate my older daughter’s birthday, she only had two requests: vanilla cake and sprinkles.

I decided to make a homemade Vanilla Bean Homemade Funfetti Cake.Β  The vanilla bean gives this funfetti cake a gourmet twist. The cake is light, moist, and tender. The frosting is fluffy and not-too-sweet. According to my girls, the best part of the cake is the sprinkles. They’re on the inside and the outside! It was a huge hit with my girls. My husband didn’t think it was too bad either πŸ˜‰
